Effect of infrared heaters on your pacemaker

infrared heaters on your pacemaker, pacemaker cureSaunas, heaters and other such relief providing devices use infrared heaters. Infrared is an electromagnetic energy which heats up a body when it comes in contact with it. It is usually emitted from a source that is very hot.

Once you understand what a pacemaker is and how it operates, you will be in a position to understand the effect of infrared heaters on it. Pacemakers are devices which are powered by a battery and contain a generator and electrodes. Now the computer in the generator receives the information about your heart with the help of electrodes attached to your heart. The computer sends electric currents from the generator to the electrodes and then to the heart. These currents help keep the heart steady and protect it from any abnormal activity.

Now many of us use infrared heaters which benefit us in many ways. They help control heart rate and blood pressure. But too much usage of the infrared heater can be harmful not only for the body but the pacemaker. The body comes under a lot of stress that means the pacemaker has to face the stress which it might not be able to cope with.

Infrared heaters raise body temperature that means your heart responses differently to the temperatures. But the pacemaker will not be able to identify the cause of such change and response in a way that may damage your heart only. The malfunction in the pacemaker may lead to cardiac arrest. Too much infrared heat will destroy your pacemaker in ways unimaginable.
