workout for would be momExercises are a good support for pregnant women. A mild workout regimen comes with numerous benefits both during & after pregnancy, ensuring effective fitness and good health for the new mom. The usual myth of no exercise during child birth has been nullified by the contemporary gynecologists. In fact, many eminent gynecologists today advise minimum half an hour workout for at least 4-5 days in a week. Workout during pregnancy boosts up your mood, reduces the typical pregnancy pains or aches and improves sleep. It also assures a smooth delivery and makes it easier to return to your former shapely self post childbirth.

There are various exercises that you can safely practice during your would-be-mom days. Most of the gynecologists stress on a daily walk for 20-30 minutes. It’s good cardiovascular workout and will keep you fit sans jarring the ankles and knees. The best part is that it won’t require you to spend on any sort of external equipment. However, make sure to walk on proper walking shoes. Walking is pretty safe throughout the nine months. Physicians also vote for swimming as a good exercise when you have conceived. In fact, swimming is considered as the safest and the best workout for the pregnant women. It’s an ideal exercise as it works on both the large muscles like legs and arms – ensuring that you feel almost weightless in spite of the additional weight gain during your pregnancy days. Besides, there are some low-impact aerobic exercises that are also good when you are pregnant. Aerobics help to strengthen the heart & tone up your body effectively.

However, it should be mentioned here that exercises are often not suggested during complicated pregnancy situations. Hence it’s always advised that you consult your gynecologist beforehand prior to starting up with the exercise routine.
